We have put our names with housing to get on the waiting list. For now, we are trying to get my dads house renovated, to date Bill has removed part of two walls from the bathroom & joining bedroom. They both had mould, although Bill had repaired the waterlines the last time we resided in here. After paying the deposit to get the power hooked up to get the renovations done, NTPC has directed Desmond Ruben (NTPC employee) to disconnect us UNTIL we get an electrician to give them the thumbs up regarding its electrical. Bill picked up windows still in good shape from the dump, ones that housing threw away. We are supposed to get a furnace installed with the help of Bills brother Hank; certified boiler/furnace (Housings foreman). But, with this coming on, we do not feel that we can get these things done to move in, prior to moving out of the trailer, as the Diocese has OTHER plans for it in October. This leaves us pretty close to HOMELESS! What is happening at the Legislative Assembly with our leaders? Housing here should be FIRST & FOREMOST on the Legislative Assemblys Agenda. You said you would return in 10 days from the day you called me, and told me all that was going to be done for the community of Paulatuk. We are still waiting. Can you email me regarding all this??? I do not have a phone. Thanks. Frances Wolki
