How Do You Represent Christ? July 2nd, 2013 It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever known someone who said they were a child of God? They made sure everyone knew what church they attended. Have you ever met a mean and rude Believer? A person who shouts at church services but will not speak away from church. Have you ever attempted to witness to someone, but they rejected everything you said? Before you could finish your sentence, they either cut you off or walked away. Have you ever preached one thing but lived another? You fail to practice what you preach. Can you relate to any of these questions? Do you know someone who can? Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, How Do You Represent Christ? When others look at you, what do they see? Who do they see? So often in our lives, we talk Christ but do not live Christ. We proclaim to love everyone, but we do not display love for everyone. We asked God to use us for His glory, but we spend eight hours on our job complaining. We get upset if our song is not sang on Sunday morning. We hug people on Sundays, but avoid them on Mondays. The Bible declares in Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. We, as Believers, are commanded to represent Christ wherever we go. How Do You Represent Christ? Do you use or misuse your gifts for the Lord? Do you cherish your anointing? The Bible declares in Matthew 5:14 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. My brother, my sister, How Do You Represent Christ? Each day presents different challenges and dilemmas. The enemy never rest from attempting to attack you. There will always be co-workers who speak against you. Supervisors who upset you. The Bible declares in Matthew 5:13 - Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. On your job, How Do You Represent Christ? In your home, How Do You Represent Christ? At school, How Do You Represent Christ? In the mall or grocery store, How Do You Represent Christ? When you are cut-off in traffic, How Do You Represent Christ? When you have been lied on and misused, How Do You Represent Christ? When your “friend” turns his/her back on you, How Do You Represent Christ? The Bible declares in Luke 8:16 - No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. Thought to Remember: Your light should reflect Christ. Scripture Reading for the Day: Genesis 1:4 May God Bless you at Your point of need!
