How Ducks May Save the Belleview Biltmore I never stayed at the - TopicsExpress

How Ducks May Save the Belleview Biltmore I never stayed at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, but like millions of other tourists I have gone to their lobby at 5 oclock to have a drink and watch the ducks parade! Peabody tells us that the Belleview is a perfect Historic Hotel to represent the company here on the West Coast of Florida and bring the ducks back! There is symmetry with the Peabody Memphis which was also built in the late 1800s when railroad business tycoons were connecting railroads and linking communities. Well-known humanitarian, George Peabody stepped in to help develop what would be known as the Souths grand hotel. The Memphis Peabody fell on hard times, changed owners many times, was closed for six years. Today it is beautifully restored and credited as a destination Hotel that has revived downtown Memphis. Peabody reports premium average rates ranging from 11% - 52% over local competition where they operate. Because they would like to see the Belleview restored and under the Peabody flag, maybe the ducks will prevail over all other arguments. Doris Hanson, Friends of the Belleview Biltmore
