How Everyone Feels the Morning of an Interview. After weeks (maybe even months) of searching for a new job, you’re gifted with the golden opportunity of an interview. Success! But wait—when the big day comes, you’re filled with dread. What will you wear? What will you bring? Interviews are scary! There’s so much at stake! Landing that interview was tough, but preparing for it can be a challenge all on its own. If you’ve ever woken up the morning of the interview in a panic, we understand. 1.Your alarm clock rings, and you instantly freeze: Today is the big day. 2.You crawl under the covers. Suddenly, your bed feels more comfortable than usual. 3.Your phone beeps with constant “good luck” messages. What if the interview doesn’t go well? You cringe at the idea of telling everyone the bad news. 4.You take a few breaths and give yourself a quick pep talk. Everything will go great today, you say. 5.You fumble around, tripping over yourself, spilling your coffee, and doing everything you told yourself you weren’t going to do. Naturally. 6.You finally muster up the courage to get in the shower. Wait—maybe you should skip the interview and start your own soap business. At least you’d be your own boss, right? 7.You get out and choose your outfit. But wait—does that simple-but-professional suit make you look like this? ...Or like this? 8.Breakfast time! Better eat something hearty. Like pancakes. And eggs. And bacon. And toast. 9.OK, no more games, you tell yourself. You can do this. 10.Time to go. You check for all four copies of your resume—then head out the door, feeling like a boss. 11.You arrive at your interview a few minutes early. Now all that’s left is to wow them with your killer personality. Good luck! By Diana Hernandez
