How Fayoses House of Assembly Candidate, Omotoso, Harassed Isan People In the run up to the February General Elections in Ekiti State, the maximum ruler, Ayodele Fayose, has unleashed his agents on the people to intimidate and cow them to submission before the February polls. The latest of these attacks is at Isan Ekiti where one of the House of Assembly candidates called Omotoso, who was imposed by Fayose on the people, came to provoke Isan people by pasting his posters on the posters of an APC candidate in the constituency. When one of the indigenes of the town, Mr. Emmanuel Agbalaja, challenged him, he ordered his thugs to slash the four tyres of the guys vehicle and threaten to burn it down if he challenged him again! The owner of the vehicle reported the matter at the police station. Dr. Samuel Omotoso later learnt that the boy whose vehicles tyres were destroyed is the son of a former PDP stalwart in the town. When Fayose got wind of this, he sent his ADC to the police station so that the case could be withdrawn and kept from the public. Fayose later invited the owner of the vehicle to the Government House to persuade him to drop the case so that it doesnt get to the public. At the meeting, Fayose appealed to Abalaja to forget the matter and that his damaged tyres shall be replaced and some menu will be paid to him as compensation but Abalaja rejected the offer and insisted that Omotoso must face the law. The question is, is this how Fayose wants to use intimidation and violence to win the February Election? Fayose should know by now that the wind of change blowing in Nigeria about the change of leadership will not exclude Ekiti.
