How I Found Freedom After a long walk of leading my life my way. Full grown sin had turned to death. It was time to end my life. The only way out seemed to be to go to sleep forever. I prayed Lord please forgive me for what I am about to do, but I can not handle living here on this earth any more. God forgave me! He picked me up and put me in a Christian recovery program called Teen Challenge Wisconsin. Shortly after starting to understand what God has freely given us all, I again asked God a favor. God please forgive me for all the things I have done wrong. Please come into my heart and lead my life. Again God forgave me! He baptized me with His Holy spirit. About half way through this year one year in house recovery program. The day before their annual banquet where President George Bush would be speaking, I had to go to court for a drunk driving ticket from before entering TC. They promised court would be lenient because of being in Teen Challenge. The Judge in Jefferson County had a different idea. Go to jail right now...bailiff put him into custody. I would be spending Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year in jail. I was angry and confused, Lord how could you do this to a person who just gave his life to you???? After a couple months of searching me and the bible in jail it was Christmas time. A Minister had come in to spend Christmas with some of to sing Christmas carols. We sang our hearts out! Something was happening, I was locked up in jail, I was happy, I was not depressed, all the suicidal thoughts were gone, I did not want a drink, did not want a cigarette, I was different. I WAS FREE! LOL all while I was locked up in Jefferson County Jail. I was allowed to return to TC to finish the program that helped me to recovery. I finished that program and went to another great place called Hope Street Ministry to help me to enter back into society to help share to comfort the brokenhearted through Adullam Outreach Center. God, THANK YOU FOR FORGIVING ME!
