How I admire people who are effective and productive writers. I guess one of the reasons that I feel this way is because I dont possess the ability to sit for long periods on a computer and be that productive. True, I have authored two books inclusive with my photos, Roadrunner and Coyote, but it took a LONG time to get the copy out! Both texts are on the old floppy discs and I doubt that I know where those things are today. Authors like my friends Henry Chappell, Ray Sasser, the late John Graves and many others, will forever be my heroes. How I admire their ability to stay focused and put the words and paragraphs together in a manner that conveys their intended message to the reading audience so well. I am in the process of authoring another book but Sylinda almost has to threaten me with imprisonment to make me sit down and produce the words, if only a few at a time. The one thing that keeps me feeling like I will get er done is that once when I was visiting with John Graves, I asked him if he ever had writers block that was so bad that he had to totally shut down for a few days and not think about it. He chuckled and said, well hell yes! Thank you John for issuing up a little hope when I feel that there is no hope!! LOL!! Currently up to 18,800 words and feel that I should have it whipped at about 25,000!! With a strong selection of photos and extended captions, it should be a good study! I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
