How I came to use and love my DoTerra oils.... A year ago my supervisor called me unreliable. I called in sick one time in a year. And, took three unpaid trips off for a family emergency, a sick child, and our move. I had earned sick time left over last year. Yet, I was being labeled. It hurt me. Dont question my character. I knew for the next year Id have to prove to her I was reliable by not calling in for anything. I had to find something I could do to improve my immunity while working long days on a plane filled with germs. And, how to take care of myself if I got ill while traveling as this was when Id get sick. Never at home, naturally. Id get to a hotel, and start feeling horrible. Id have no way to get to a CVS or a doctor in the middle of the night since crews dont have cars or many transportation options on layovers. I started looking into homeopathic medicine. I could make a first aid/emergency illness kit with these natural healers. They would be available to me 24/7 on the road since I could carry them in my flight bag. I did much research on natural healing. Then, I was introduced to essential oils through my home school co-op moms class. After much studying and research on these oils Id never heard of, I found myself amazed by their healing powers. I shouldnt been too shocked as baby Jesus received two essential oils as gifts from the Three Wise Men. Among my learning on oils, I, also, learned about traditional medicine and their harmful side effects on other organs. And, how they can actually make you sicker instead of healthier. Needless to say, I am in love with essential oils! They work for me on the road and at home. My family can take care of ourselves for everyday woes. And, we can improve our health by strengthening our immunity with oils. We save money on co pays and prescriptions, gas, and our valuable time. Weve paid $96 out of pocket for medical bills this year. Praise God! One visit was for a spider bite. I dont mess around with things like this! So, being called UNRELIABLE has made me more RELIABLE to my healthcare and my family as their caretaker. And, my company.... I have been ill on the road in the past year, including what I think was the beginning of the flu. Having the essential oils at hand saved me from having to call out sick a few times since I was able to nip it the bud before a major illness could develop. For example, ear infections can ground a flight attendant for obvious reasons. If my ear started hurting in the past, it would usually develop into a full blown ear infection by the time I got home, and could medically start treating it. Now, I can start treating the area with my oils immediately. Huge difference! So, I may thank my supervisor for calling me unreliable. She hasnt called me to tell me how reliable I have been this year. I know she wont But, I KNOW how reliable essential oils have been to me. Thus, making reliable to her even if she doesnt acknowledge this to me!!
