How Is Closure in the New World Possible? There is promise at 2 Peter 3:13 which says: “But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” There are many of us who have lost loved ones before we could do or work out or at least have our final say on a matter before our loved one passed away. We may have thought of something we like to say now, if we could. Some people have gone to extremes to make that happen, but the bible tells us that is simply not possible at this time. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) How does the promise at 2 Peter 3:13 make it possible? You make want to focus on the word “righteousness.” In God’s original plans for mankind we were never meant to lose our love ones in death. Therefore, when Daniel 2:44 reaches full fruition in the near future, we can look forward to that action being corrected. It does not matter if you said goodbye or not because for many it will be, hello and welcome back as John 5:28, 29 says: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” What is the best type of closure? Is it one that starts with a new beginning? Unlike the unrighteousness that exist now, which causes the need for closures, in Jehovah God’s new world of righteousness relationships will have the prospect of dwelling forever as Psalms 37:29 says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.” The best closure is not having one at all, that is what life in the new world holds out to everyone that learns the truth (John17:3) and who obeys Jesus Christ commands. (John 3:36) Can you think of a better circumstance to say to a lost loved one, “I missed you and I love you very much" while you are hugging them and welcoming them back in your arms. During your reunion, you get to tell them all about the wonderful life ahead and that they can enjoy this new life forever, if they prove to be among the righteous. True peace and security will exist all over the earth. (Psalms 37:11) This invitation is open to you, why are you hesitating?
