How Lara inspired me to buy Walden in NYC - TopicsExpress

How Lara inspired me to buy Walden in NYC today. gofundme/TECHQUEEN Update: The Launch is Off, Heading to NYC for a fun relaxing weekend. To meet up with good friends. Swedish researchers from UC San Diego to hit the town during the day and then my Swiss friend who is a lawyer who studied at Columbia University to hit the night life. Coincidentally, they are both in NYC this weekend, but head back to Europe after. What I am seeing is that I have so many friends in high places and I never realized it because I did not really care. So many of my friends in UC San Diego are working for huge Silicon Valley tech companies, have such great ideas, huge financial companies, huge marketing firms or themselves have skills and their own visions. I tell you guys every day I am confirmed that I have to come home to launch this with your minds around me. One of my friends from college went to get his MBA at Stanford immediately after graduating. He was two years older than me. I met him in the Greek community and I immediately felt like he was so kind and approachable. Anyways, now he works for an investment firm who has 200 Million dollars every year to invest in a company of their choosing. He told me about this and asked me about my company. I just told him about all my goals, plans and the things that I want to do but cannot do without the funding. That this is happening regardless but it is just how quick will it happen. Either way I am happy I met you Shawn at UC San Diego and happy you wanted to message me about this! Thanks for hearing my pitch! For all my friends at UC San Diego messaging me to with great ideas. Or my friends at Cal, UCLA or UCSB that have messaged me, I am making a list of everything you say and way we can work that in. But I am willing to work with you guys but we must all come with HIGH expectations for ourselves and QUALIFICATIONS. I do not believe in having friends in my company unless they are QUALIFIED. Plain and simple, if you are my best friend and I cannot see a place for you in my company because of a lack of work ethic or skill, you will surely stay out of it. Sorry. But if you are like the many friends I made at UC San Diego who are visionaries, qualified yet also my friends, I will do all I can for us to collaborate together and work to let this grow. Where you are helping em and I am helping you. Everyday we are getting closer to the mission, thank you guys! In the first night I have raised $1525, and though small this will multiply due to those who believe in this company. My friend and fellow sorority sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Lara was one of the first people to donate and she sent me a quote by Henry David Thoreau that said, If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. That is exactly where my mind was Lara and thank you! I have this vision in the clouds and realistically it is easy for me to build the foundation to get to this vision as long as I am keeping my eyes on the present objective, the castles in the air. What would help me friends at UC San Diego is that you do not only have to donate with money. Sending me quotes or words of encouragement moves me just as much because it pushes me to move forward and be more bold. So if you do not have money to give, donate this way instead. With Love, TECH QUEEN Disclosure: I write and then I submit. I do not have time to go back and edit, correct the grammar or do any of this, as I am trying to move quickly. Sorry if there are grammar errors or incorrect spelling, but that is the case as of now until I have time to look more intricately at these things. Thanks!
