How NOT to barbell curl (in 15 seconds). I perform three good reps followed by poor reps. The movement you are aiming for is elbow flexion. The first three go from full elbow extension to full elbow flexion. The bad reps (what I see in the gym) BARELY deviate from 90 degrees of elbow flexion throughout the movement and instead just swing from the shoulder. Remember, the bottom of a barbell curl is when your elbows are extended, NOT when the bar hits your hips. Once you combine this with the torso swinging and knee bending most barbell curls dont even look like bicep exercises anymore, they look like someone is having a seizure. instagram/bdccarpenter
