How Religions Plundered Humanity People were taught by the Church and the religions that they should donate to them a part of their earnings to be used to propagate God’s word and build houses of worship. The followers of these religions were made to believe that the more they donate or share their earnings, the more they will be blessed by God in their financial undertakings, that they will earn even more. Let us read the popular verses that religions use especially its televangelists to motivate people to donate to them and even send money or love offerings to them. Did God really say in those verses that we should donate to them? Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NIV This is what the religions/churches and the televangelists read to convince their followers to donate huge sums of money. They were made to believe that the higher the amount of their donation, the greater the (financial) blessing of God will be bestowed on them. To whom shall we give - what Church - Catholic, Protestant, Non-Denomination, Church of Christ?
