How about as Christians, we focus on what we stand FOR rather than - TopicsExpress

How about as Christians, we focus on what we stand FOR rather than focusing so much on what we stand AGAINST? Its very easy to jump on a bandwagon and stand against something in anger. But think of how the Holy Spirit could work in you if your anger in standing against something was replaced by the love you could use in support for the Lord and for others? I saw the movie Noah tonight. This is how I see it---although many people are up in arms about the fact that the movie wasnt an exact book to screenplay transfer of story (which most movies arent), and many are upset that the director is apparently an atheist--I only see the positive. I dont have the level of Christianity it must take to judge this man--I dont know his heart and to be quite honest, if I judge him-which is Gods job, hell probably make it to Heaven before I do. And I would never imagine knowing Gods plan for this man. What if the Lord was using this man to work through him and bring the Bible and its story (however flawed in detail it may be) to the mainstream? What could we say then? I am not a good enough Christian to know Gods plans, thats for sure. But I do know that after seeing the movie, I was thrilled to go and re-read the story of Noah. I was touched by the bravery and obedience that Noah portrayed in the movie. Have you ever gone to see a movie that was based on a book that you havent yet read, and everyone says, Oh the movie was waaaaay off! The book is so much better, and then you immediately want to go and read the book? Can you imagine non-believers going to see this movie and then wanting to go and read THE BOOK?? This is to be celebrated no matter how you look at it. The Passion of the Christ, Courageous, Son of God, Gods Not Dead, Heaven is For Real, Duck Dynasty (for crying out loud)! These are all wonderful things. Lets praise the Lord that His word is becoming more and more accessible to everyone. And dont worry so much that the devil is in the details----I believe the Lord has it all under control! Many will not agree with me at all, but I do hope that you take a moment to think about the positive aspects and focus on the LOVE we are to have for HIM and for ALL!
