How about this 100lb brace... Over to Mainline carper, Darren Belton to take up his epic story :- On my arrival at the lake, I once again opted for a swim I had never fished before and soon Id found three areas I was happy with before introduced a kilo of Hybrid boilie on each spot. The first night went without event, but I freshened up the spots with a little more Hybrid and settled down for my second night. At 10pm I received a take and it soon became apparent it was a big fish. After eventually bundling it in the net I flicked the head torch on and was shocked to see the big common for the second time in a matter of weeks! The old girl really loves the Hybrid. For the record I quickly checked her over and weighed her but didnt take any pics before slipping her back. At 52lb 12 oz she was a pound bigger than my last capture and another PB. The next morning I topped up the spots again and rested the swim before casting out for my final night. All was peaceful until 5am when one of my rods went into meltdown. It felt like another big fish and once in the net my light revealed the flanks of the awesome big linear. At 48lb I was ecstatic and it made up a brace of over 100lb!
