How about this, Maria and I were standing in the lobby of the Severn Walker Theatre Shrewsbury before the Leo and Anto gig. I lamped two couples coming in the main entrance. Sharon Addicott Rees , her partner Peter and his friends Tom and Rose from Birmingham. I had no clue who these people were but one of them Sharon had a Tommy Varden Galway jersey on. Straight away I said to Maria, check this lot out. I immediately made a B line for them and started asking questions. Hi guys, so whats the connection with Galway? I like the jersey. Tommy Varden is a man I know since I was a young grabber. In fact his grandson Luke and grandniece Aoife are my nephew and niece. Its great when you see a jersey like that at a gig. Sharon tells me she has absolutely no connection with Tuam but had been to over thirty Saw Doctors gigs over the years but her friend Rose had relations in Tuam, the Wynnes. Im there thinking I know who you are on about. Would that be Mary from the Galway road? She would have been born around 1966 I reckon. Yes thats the family all right...............etc To top things off, Rose was a fan of another Tuam band Blaze X . Well as so many people said to me during the Hazwalk, all roads lead to Tuam. Happy days.
