How can anyone by so unconcerned about his environment (I mean, that what’s happening around him)? Isn’t it like being an insensitive piece of furniture to just stand in line, not trying to find out what’s happening at the counter notwithstanding that there are 10 more people before you in the queue? So what if it means peeping right across, causing a cluster at the counter and disturbing everyone including the one behind the counter (no wonder they try to make those counters strong enough to hold a cannon)? Isn’t it not inhuman to not consider the place in the queue as a personal space (no one is giving up theirs’, right?) and hence carry on with personal grooming (especially where you flick rolled-up effluents from orifices and flint from pockets)? And it’s so selfish (rather, self-centered and uncaring about others) not to ask the one waiting before or after, “so, what are you here for?” Or rather, “new application?”; not in those exact words, but with a question-mark-gesture plus a flick of the documents-in-hand plus a simple ‘what-work’? Questions, questions, questions. Life can be complex even while standing for your turn. (DGN 14 Sep 2014 Fuj 1000 hrs)
