How can there be peace and progress in a place where people prefer to define themselves by ethnicity and religion, those divisive factors, rather than by the things that are common to all of us as human beings? There will not be growth hereuntil we stop listening to all these politicians playing tricks on our intelligence for their personal gains; all these "activists" stirring up anger where common sense and smart thinking could prevail; all these ethnic intellectuals and artists intenton settling scores and rehashing stories that stir uphatred and bitterness amongst the people. Let God defend himself, let history guide us positively rather than destroy us, let us learn to listen to true voices of wisdom which say: beyond face, colour, language, ethnicity and religion, we are all the same and desire the same things. We can live together peacefully and thrive if we are ready to make the sacrifices necessary. We canstart by reforming ourselvesat the individual level by shedding our ethnic and religious bigotry.
