How can we make our area safer? • Stop vehicles and people in the area that are not residence and ask them what their business is. • Take plate numbers record and report suspicious behaviour. • Ask people who seldom leave their homes to be “window watchers,” looking out for each other and reporting any unusual activities in the neighbourhood. • Let a neighbour know if you are not going to be around so that your home can be watched out for. • Develop a contact list and a way to share information. • Lock up your belongings so as not to encourage thieves onto you property. • Lock up at night and put keys away out of sight.
