How can you make an illegal drive on a road that results in an accident and your unfortunate death, but your family blames the road? How can you be known to police, be involved in violent criminal behaviour, and in shootout with police you are killed, but your family wants to blame police? The Express today say police kill number 35, but gangs have already killed 168, so what are we to do in this situation? We have known gangsters threatening to shoot police and soldiers, we have gang leaders and political terrorists issuing threats of harm against the Minister of National Security, but when he takes steps to bring in armoured personal carriers to protect the men and women of our protective services we want to make noise? This country has too many programmes available for people who are willing to lift themselves up and succeed for people to be turning to a life of crime. From cradle to the grave free education, to food cards and housing assistance for the desperately poor, there are ways and means for the determined to make a better life for themselves and their loved ones. We need to work together to bring change across the board, but we need to do that in a law abiding way.
