How could I ever express how thankful I am for all of the support that our family has received since Shawns death... I wish I could list each and every one of you that sent food, telephone calls, emails, messages, cards, etc. I have never seen such an outpouring of love and support. Shawn would be very honored and I (we) are so thankful for everything you all have done. I want to thank Lt. Tim Tabbutt for organizing Shawns wonderful and awe inspiring funeral, Lt. Tabbutt did this in 3 days while he and Sgt. Brandon Parker, Sgt. Ralph Pineo NEVER left Shawns side from the time they arrived at EMMC until his return to Washington County. For all of the Washington County Sheriffs Office - ME deputies for standing guard over Shawn 24/7 until his funeral. Marine Patrol Officer Keith York, Bill Lindsay for also standing guard. I also want to thank Sheriff Donnie Smith for all of his support, the escort from Bangor to home that terrible night to make sure we arrived home safe and for communicating with the media for us. Mays Funeral Home for their compassion, respect and professionalism. To the Penobscot County Sheriffs Office Deputy and his wife for stopping and trying to help Shawn and performing CPR. To Mike and Linda of Eddington Auto Sales for taking care of Lil Shawn and his friend while I performed CPR, and for sending flowers. To Eddington Fire and Ambulance for trying so valiantly to save Shawns life. Crystal Bagley) Bob Fitzsimmons (and Linda Seelye Winchester) for checking on me, bringing me chairs, but most of all, coming to support lil Shawn and bringing him a special badge that was his Dads. Mark Silk, Nathan Phelps, Courtney Elizabeth Cochran, Sheriff Smith, my Dad, Lyman and Chris Donahue for the loving eulogies. Thank you to all of Shawns brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement for attending Shawns funeral and for your unconditional support for my family and I.
