How did I wined up accepting and believing the doctrines of Grace. This is my story! I have had life experiences that have become a daily part of my life that I could not forget. I would get busy with life and suppress them for a while but the questions would still be there. What did my 14 year nephew have to die by a 18 year who attempting to pass a vehicle with his truck on the shoulder that my nephew was walking on. And was killed suddenly. Why did my dad have a hemorrhage and needed a blood transfusion. And find out a year later that he was given blood that had Heb C and he would die because of it. My wife went in for surgery and came out of that surgery with nerve damage. And it would take years for a doctor to listen. It would take years of misdiagnosis . It would take years of doctors misplacing files for various test that she need. It would take years of finally getting the right diagnosis and persuading doctors and nurses to believe my wife about her never ending pain. It was years of going through so many failed pain medications. And then convincing those same doctors and nurses that she was a good candidate for the treatment to block the pain. And to top it all off I receive my diagnosis of a chronic disease and a failed treatment for that disease. Why. Sunday after Sunday I would go to church and desperate for any answer for all these experiences. It was around the middle of my wifes ten year illness. The church that I was attending had announced that for four Sunday evenings there was going to be a film series called The Canvas series. It was going to be presented by a pastor in training who was fulfilling one of his duties by picking this video. I remember watching this video not realizing that God was going to answer my prayers. The video that I will be posting is called History but it has the same content by Louie Gigilo and Andy Stanley. I had never heard of these speakers before. So I will be posting clips and sharing how the Biblical truths that were presented turned my life upside down. Romans 11:33-36 Doxology 33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and[i] knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” 36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
