How did you become a Half Fanatic and Marathon Maniac? Back in 2009, I noticed many runners at the Hatfield-McCoy Marathon wearing their respected club shirts from fanatics and to maniacs. I never knew much it about until I met my fellow friend, Tim Taft, who was a maniac. I remember him discussing it with me and that I should consider being one. I couldnt imagine myself at that time running a marathon or several of them to qualify. I have to thank him always for getting my wrapped with this idea and just do it. Tim, you made me a crazy person ever since. 15 marathons down and hopefully 5 this year to reach 20 total! I qualified to be a Half fanatic in November 2011 after completing the Go Commando Half, Louisville Commission Half, and Marshall Half. All races were PRs (1:40s). I qualified to be a Marathon Maniac in June 2013 after completing the Yuengling Marathon (4:02), the Flying Pig Marathon (3:49), and the Hatfield McCoy Marathon (4:11) All of these were completed in 90 days. Double Agent! Im just happy to get others in my community ever since I started doing this from the beginning. We have more than 30+ and counting!
