Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. To pray is to supplicate and worship. To supplicate is to humbly request. To worship is to submit to and show awe for ones strength to accomplish. A note on humbleness while it is to be aware of ones own shortcomings, it is not belittling to oneself or self seeking. It is to put confidence in God to be your strength; by awareness of your own need and weakness. The warning to not pray as a hypocrites is well known but not greatly considered in personal prayer. A hypocrite is not a failure or one who has held up the standered of the word of God but not lived up to it. A person who does that may be a hypocrite or he could be one who sees and agrees how he should be, but has not yet learned to not frustrate the grace of God. Read more at rickrosamond2.blogspot
