How do u respond when some says Eid mubarak?... Best Answer; Eid Mubarak means Happy eid. It is ok for non-Muslims to say it to Muslims. Since Eid Mubarak is the arabic way to say happy Eid the arabic response for it would be Alayna Wa Alaykoom, meaning for me and for you as well. So that would be like you saying happy Eid and someone responding happy eid to you too. Yes Saeed and mubarak can both mean happy, but mubarak is derived from the arabic word mabrook, meaning congratulations. So mubarak is congratulating someone for the coming of their holiday (eid). Nevertheless, it is often used in the same way saeed is used meaning happy.
