How do we handle a personal prophetic word against a regional prophetic word? First, let us define what is a personal prophetic word. Personal prophesy is what was prophesied to you by a prophetic minister who is either operating in the gift of prophecy, a spirit of prophesy, or someone who is a prophet. The prophesy is not intended for the church or for the city. Either you received it through the laying on of hands or you were called out in a corporate setting and were prophesied. The video below is a good example of a personal prophesying in a corporate setting. In personal prophesy, the fulfillment of your word is predicated upon your alignment or agreement with it. There is an involvement on your end. Personal prophecies are powerful! Once the the prophecy is received, it becomes a revelation to the recipient! The effect of revelation is either life or additional life to the person. The spirit man of the person is enlarged to apprehend what God has for him. Personal prophesying increases the understanding of the recipient that something is beyond him that is known by God but revealed through a conduit - the prophetic minister! When the recipient of the prophetic word is facing weariness, losing hope and getting tired of life...recalling the prophetic word that was spoken over him, will make him bounce back to life! Apostle Paul mentioned that in First Timothy 1:18, Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well. So, there you go! Recall them. Read them again or replay them if you have recorded it. The battle is sure to come! A personal prophetic word is another weapon that you can use against the face of your adversity. Hallelujah! In all of our events, I always advise recipients to record their prophetic word. Your cell phone must be ready to record it. What an honor that would be to be called out in the middle of 200, 300 sometimes 600 people! God have chosen you instead of the 599! A regional prophetic word however, is a prophecy intended for the city, community, nation or a region. A region is a cluster of either cities, counties, states or countries. God is not only interested with us as an individual or as a church. The interest of God spans beyond that. When a regional prophetic word is released to a cluster, you do not have to necessarily come in agreement to it in order for it to be fulfilled! But can you receive it? Absolutely, yes! Regional prophetic words are in essence between God, the cluster, and the prophet. When a regional prophetic word is released, step back, relax and see how God will fulfill it! If the word is a warning about a disaster that is coming, then ask for the blood of Jesus to protect you and the innocent that will be affected. If the word is a promise and then you come into alignment with it, it will make it more fun to live in your city! I have noticed that those who paid attention to what was prophesied at their cities or regions are the ones that are alert, aware and more involved in a citywide intercession. They evolved from just a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ to becoming a Kingdom-minded believer! There is an added dimension in their journey with God that becomes more apparent!
