How do you drop your special kids off at school? Im having issues with my sons school letting his class sit in the cafeteria too long in the morning which impacts his day very negatively. We dont take him on time because he has to sit longer, but he is being counted tardy because he is not there before the bell rang. Weve explained to the principals it is not him being tardy that makes him miss instruction. Its the class waiting in the cafeteria for other students to eat. Weve escalated to the district office and are waiting on their decision. We also have to fight through all the other drop off traffic, park in the visitor area and walk our children in. Im sorry, but I want to teach my son how to walk to his class on his own. It is something he will need to learn to do. Thanks! ~Tiffany.
