How do you manage an Osu marriage? Please do not publish my name. I am from the part of Igbo land that believe in Osu, Ohu, Ume! These are different names given to an outcast. It is an age long traditon which involved their fore fathers and ancestors. Im engaged to someone from there and my kinsmen have been on my neck. After the introduction,they had a meeting and decided that they will never receive any other thing from my fiances family and will never attend my traditional and white wedding (because they participated in my introduction ignorantly). They said that if i insist in marrying him, i should not run back to them if anything goes wrong in my family because, according to them, those people are fond of maltreating their (amadi) wives.
