How do you remember the Town centre of your past? I remember when we had three butchers shops, two greengrocers, woolworths, where Morrisons is now was called Prestos, Iceland was Beejam, we had a M&S, shops in Queensway selling net curtains and soft furnishings, a Martins newsagents, Im sure there was a Wimpy too, but dont quote me on that one! I also vaguely remember London road before it was a pedestrian precinct and Im sure it was lined with trees, and who remembers the boating lake that was where Hothampton car park is now?
