How does anyone expect us (teachers) to teach in a classroom full of malnutritioned students who are functioning off of processed fake food, pounds of sugar, and even empty stomachs. I am not downing any school systems, Im talking about Americas food system in general. Some dont even know if they will eat supper each night but yet we expect them to focus and give us FULL attention through out the entire day...something has got to change with our food system to make healthy food affordable for EVERYONE because our youth is going nowhere with what were offering them.
