How does one deep clean a backpack, like a big hiking pack? Mine was borrowed to a friend who does not shower often, and it literally stinks to high heavens. I am not exaggerating. The stench crawled through my apartment last night, and when I sniffed closely to locate the sink-infested areas I literally gagged. I cannot help but feel disgusted and judgmental in this moment. I think this person does not bathe due to environmental and economic reasons. To a certain extent, that is justified. But at the same time, it is obnoxious and imposing to other people. The radius of rot that surrounds unhygienic folks in public is one thing, but please leave my expensive equipment out of it. I cry to my stinky friends to please be more considerate.
