How does one put into words 18 years of an amazing partnership? How do you describe the sheer magnitude of the love you shared? The trust and understanding that came so very easily. I dont think there really is a way to share the hole that is left in a heart when it all ends. I will never find all the right words to say Thank You or just how much I love you. On Friday October 18, I flew home to help my best friend over the bridge. A more beautiful soul and hard head i couldnt hope to find. Pure joy came from his heart even if his face was crabby sometimes. We started our journey together at a mutual age of 12. The bond was instant and there was NO question I had found my best friend. From trail riding to 4-H, Hunter, Gymkhana, you name it we tried it. We grew in age and in closeness. I told him my secrets, and told him my dreams. He protected me from harm and i nursed him when he, as usual, injured himself somehow. I could be me no matter what in his presence. No shame, no excuses. He taught me so many thing it is impossible to list them all, or even define them. But the one thing he taught me above all else was unconditional love. We made mistakes, got frustrated, crabby, sad and even very angry, but it didnt matter. We were a team and nothing will ever change that. Nothing then , or even now. We had to say goodbye, but only for now. This separation is only temporary. Until we meet again my friend. A Royal Touch of Topaz Creeme 1983- 10/18/2013
