Heres how it works. youtu.be/I6PvS0x1PeA 1) Jan - March - NO legislation in the first 60 days unless considered an emergency and the governor can declare it as emergency and authorize such legislation. 2) March - April after 60 days has passed, governors powers recedes a little and speaker of the house and Lt. Governor takes over and all legislation begins. Toward end of April you will see the first budget coming out. Bills will be discussed on the floor during month of April among other items. 3) Towards end of May, the governor will start looking at these items and consider vetoing and the session comes to a close toward Memorial weekend. This pretty much sums it up. Not every word for word here.
