How does your volatile dog affect other dogs they live with if they live with others? I never thought too much about this until Erik went on fluoxetine and Kivis mood suddenly soared. Kivi is a pretty laid back dog and never really showed obvious signs of being upset by Erik, but he just kept getting more and more joyous until I was starting to wonder if he would ever stop. This mostly just from Erik being less reactive at home and sleeping more, I think. My parents mind them both when we are on holidays, and they usually integrate pretty well with their three dogs. Last time they stayed there my parents said the difference in the dogs as a group was quite noticeable. All the dogs were more relaxed than usual, and the three of my parents dogs were more tolerant of Erik, who has historically not been well liked by them. Erik used to bring a lot of nervous energy to the household. It did create some conflict from time to time, although often indirectly.
