How easy it is to forget about faithfulness to God and Gods house when we want to do something else. 1Co 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. Required is the key word to describe what God expects of us. Just a thought. An old missionary spent 40 years ministering to the country of Africa. He slept on their dirt floored huts, ate their food and sometimes had to do without food. Standing before God beside of that old faithful missionary on Judgement Day, I wonder what our answers will be concerning why we arent faithful? Listen to our excuses. It was too cold to get out this morning, I worked too hard this week and I need to rest, Its my only day to get things done around the house, I dont like to hear that speaker, The kids are coming over, etc. Wonder how those will sound to God? Those are just excuses about why we arent faithful to Gods House. Consider the rest of our excuses of why we arent faithful in all the other things he expects of us. Here is a good answer to the questions Ive posed. Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: We wont have excuse, any of us, we will be judged according to our deeds- by the Word of God. Myself, I see my shortcomings as a steward, God help me to be that faithful steward.
