How elected representatives without passing legislation, can make - TopicsExpress

How elected representatives without passing legislation, can make a real huge difference in our economy and our lives Most elected representatives think only in terms of passing legislation; or, only in terms of rhetoric that might help them get reelected. This in no way empowers the people with ideas they can put to effective use in their lives that will also improve the Commonwealth of the nation. Elected leaders must be visionaries that will seek opportunity where others find only problems, and will see answers and solutions where others haven’t yet recognized the questions. An elected representatives’ most valuable purpose is when they act as a manager to create a “to do list” from those who are specialists within a field such as energy efficiency. Innovation, imagination, creativity and vision are abilities distinct from the capacity to acquire knowledge. It is much better to be creative than to be highly educated. Being creative and innovative is the real productive essence of life. Therefore, the main purpose of an elected representative is to find those people within a sector of the economy that know the root causes of the problems and how to fix them; that information has to then be communicated to the public through the mass media of communications. We need to elect representatives that are leaders, managers, and outstanding communicators; because their ability to empower the public at large is the most valuable skill that an elected representative can process. We also need individuals in the mass communication media resource sector that understands the potential that the right kind of content has to empower the people in their economic endeavors. We have too much of both public and commercial radio and television programming content that has absolutely no useful application in our lives; yet there remains a tremendous amount of unrevealed extremely valuable information that can solve in multifaceted ways and means, and solely within the private sector, a multiplicity of our core economic and jobs problems. These problems will be most effectively solved by educating the public within the private sector through the use of the mass media so they can effectively do what is profitable for themselves and for the Commonwealth of their country. Therefore, it is time for all elected representatives and stations political party partisans on 24 hour Cable and Satellite channels, plus all the 50,000 watt clear channel AM radio political partisans hosts to stop focusing solely on political party partisan differences, and instead, focus on highly useful ideas that when communicated effectively through the mass media will empower the people to reboot the economy by creating good energy efficiency and renewable energy jobs so that we will have the tax revenue with which to begin to rebuild America’s infrastructure. We in the field of mass communications and our elected representatives have wasted a lot of extremely valuable time, that could have been used to explain to the public HOW and WHY they should become active energy efficiency communicators, motivators, and efficiency investors toward preserving a decent economic livable future for everyone. There is a right way to do things and a right principled procedural path to follow, without which there will be no decent future for the little Toddlers now and, for those yet to come… Darrell Udelhoven 11/19/2013 udarrell
