How far, so far? THIS BEING THE RESOLUTIONS REACHED AT THE END OF THE FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF BORNO PROJECT. The meeting started at 9am on 6th of Dec 2012 with opening prayers from Zanna Baba Shehu. The following are the resolutions adopted at the end of the meeting. 1. That the people of Borno must speak with one voice. 2.That the issue of unity should be taken seriously. 3. That sincerity and fear of God should be our guiding principle. 4. That there should be a holistic approach in the revival of the Agricultural sector. 5. Government must restore confidence on the people by embarking on people oriented projects and programs. 6. That we must have true and sincere inter societal reorientation program to sanitize the minds of all sets of people in the state. 7. That there should be steps to improve the education sector and make it free from primary to tertiary level. 8. That we should say no to violence and brutality against innocent cictizens by either insurgents or the JTF. 9. That the social media should be used to expose all the attrocities being commited against armless and innocent people. 10. That an account should be open in the name of Borno project so that members can contribute money to assist the victems of the violence. 11. That the people should speak out against violence and let the world know what is happening through the use of the social media and other mediums. 12. That the issue of unity cannot be over empasize and call on all Borno people to unite irrespective of political or other differences to bring peace back to Borno. 13. That Borno project should be registered with cooperate affiars commission for its effective operations. 14. The a caretaker committee should be constituted to oversee the affiars of the group for the mean time. ABDULLAHI YUSUF for the organising committee.
