How important is social media nowadays for the poker playing community ? Do you think it is good to have an independant group to inform ourselves of what is going on around ? How regular would you like to see cash game updates ? what time of the day would you like to see tournament information ? If you ask me , Poker cardrooms dont make the most of it, if it was me, post for daily tournaments would be earlier in the day or even night before. special tournaments would be promoted even a week before. The way tournaments are promoted which are sometimes trying to fool the players with large starting stacks, but hide the fact of what the starting blinds are, also how quick they go up & when running antes kick in. So why not post how many big blinds a tournament starts at or why not show blind structure too. Also keeping players informed during tournaments would be just as important, may get you a few late entries, then finish off with your final prizepool. Then onto cash game updates, no good saying we have now just opened a table, then keeping players guessing whats going on, as we all know cash game situations change through out the night, keep it as regular updates, possibly every 30-60mins. they might be suprised how players might move across or be sat at home & might turn up. especially for the travelling players.
