How increase in sea food is ruining enviornment --- because of fishing, oceans have become desrts and so they are NOT coverting carbon dioxide into oxygen. Solution : we need UN agreement to impose restriction on fishing , where each person in world has quota X kg per year of fishing quota which he can sell to any fishier or NOT use it. == Ages ago, fishing was not easy. And so only those near coastal areas used to fish as for them it was only food source as land near ocean is generally not fertile. But as shipping improved, fishing has increased and too many in mainland also eat fish even though they have access to fertile land. So fishing has increased several times in past 100 years, far far more than growth rate in agriculture. The big fish eat small fish which eat sea vegetation. The fishier catch big big and so population of small fish exploded and the small fish finished ocean vegetation. And so oceans have become deserts. In fact, forests across oceans have disappeared. And this is increasing carbon dioxide levels in atmoshpere. Some say that deforestation of ocean has been more rampant those less visible than deforestation of land. How to reduce fishing? Solution I propose is to fix a limit of X kilogram per person per head across world of fishing allowance. Each person in 1981 should have equal allowance, and so countries whose population has increased after 1981 will get less than X and countries whose population decreased after 1981 will get more than X. Also countries which have long coastlines should have higher quota as people near coastline have less fertile land for agriculture. And we need law that fishing companies will need to buy quota from citizens before they can fish . So there will be a limit on fishing. And effectively, those who are eating fish will have to pay those who are not eating fish. And people like me, who believe in jeev-dayaa , will NOT sell the quota to anyone for whatever punya it fetches. Now inside a country, those who live near ocean should have higher quota as for them it is only source of food. But that will inside country. If fishing is not controlled, the situation of ocean vegetation will worsen.
