How is it, that a party which has been in power for 14 years and claims that they have done much more for Dominica than any other party to have governed , would have to resort to importing voters to retain political office? Why resort to bribery and having people who are not legally qualified to vote, participate in the electoral process? Why not rely on your performance and record of achievement? If its all there to see, wouldnt the local residents see it? If you have done as you claim and your leader is as loved as it is said, then as a party you only need to rely on the people living in Dominica. The people who pay the VAT, income tax, high port duties, and heavy expenses for shabby medical care. The people who struggle With the high cost of living and the inability to pay their monthly mortgages and bills. These are the people who will know first hand the quality of your stewardship and management capabilities or lack thereof. The decision of who governs cannot and should not be vested in the choices of people, some of whom have never set foot in Dominica for10/20 plus years and who are so far removed from everyday life in Dominica not even as much, as to follow the events via online radio or electronic news media. Development as Ive always said is about the people first. You cannot develop a country by making its peoples lives harder, while yours and that of your cohorts and friends flourish in a level of wealth that you never had before and cannot be justified based on your legal income. Who in the kitchen feels the heat and that is why this illegal importation of voters is a travesty and a burden on the local Dominican residents. - Gerald Williams
