How is the Canadian oil going to be shipped anywhere if Keystone is not built? It will be and is being shipped right now by U.S., Mexican and Canadian tanker trucks over our already overloaded, deteriorating federal highway system or on our obsolescent, impaired rail tanker system. This oil is already traveling our highways, lets put it underground with the millions of other potentially dangerous fluids that we are already piping throughout the U.S.in what has been determined to be the safest and most economical manner already in extensive use. A land spill while bad, is no where near as damaging or dangerous as is a water or surface spill or accident. It will take a lot more than 35 people to handle this pipeline, its constant monitoring and routine maintenance, leave alone the refining and the option of using this fuel for our national needs or to sell on the international market AT OUR PROFIT to full fill our needs before it is offered to those who hate us. If you think that Saudi Arabia and the other oil producers of OPEC are helping us drive international oil prices down to help the west you either are under educated in world marketing or cant see the dangers that we are facing from openly hostile attitudes, worldwide! OPEC is trying to drive our advances and our neighbors oil exploration and advances to a point of financial unpredictability thereby driving our program into bankruptcy or ultra conservatism where no one will be willing to invest in the new or inventive fuels or fuel efficiency. Once they accomplish that fuels will quickly pass $5.00 a gal and could head much higher. Wake up America! Get a grasp on reality before the worse does become reality!
