How it Works STEP 1: JOIN MK GLOBAL TRADE INC. By joining MK Global Trade, you will be part of the largest barter exchange in Manitoba. MK Global staff will help you make connections with some of our hundreds of business owners so you can earn trade dollars. And then when it comes time to use your trade dollars, MK Global can help you locate merchandise and services that you want and need. After you join MK Global Trade, you will be added to our member directory. You can be listed in all of the categories that pertain to your business. This will help all our members find you. STEP 2: GAIN ACCESS TO OUR MEMBER SERVICES VIP MEMBER DIRECTORY Directory contains information about all current MK Global Trade members. The directory is organized alphabetically and categorically for ease of use. There is also a search function that allows you to search based on name, category or key words. REFERRALS The referrals section allows members to suggest new members for the MK Global sales team to contact. If there is a company that you would like to see join MK Global Trade, you can do so in this section. For every referral you have, your name is entered into our monthly and semi-annual draw. COMMUNITY FORUM AND CLASSIFIEDS Interact with other members anytime using our Forum. Forum is only available to our members and gives yo an ability to discuss products and services, share experiences and interact with other members. Classifieds generally include topics like Barter Items Wanted and Barter Items Offered. WEEKLY NEWSLETTER Our weekly newsletter primarily includes products, services and special promotions that our members are currently offering. At the beginning of every month, we email our newsletter to our members. You can call and ask your trade broker to include your ad at any time when you want to encourage business. SCRIPT ORDER All restaurants, salons, and retail members offer script certificates to other members. Script can be purchased online in our script order section, over the phone, or just stopping by the MK Global Trade office. STEP 3: START TRADING When you are ready to promote your company to the members of MK Global, you consult your Trade Broker and provide information such as items for sale, description, cost and pictures. When deciding the price, it is very important that every sale is dollar for dollar; retail to retail. STEP 4: OTHER BENEFITS INDIVIDUALLY ASSIGNED TRADE BROKER Your Trade Brokers role is to help you find and facilitate trades. Keep your broker aware to promote you when you are looking for more trade business and ask your broker to suggest what members may be able to fit your needs when you are looking for products and/or services. MONTHLY STATEMENTS Every month members receive detailed statements that list all monthly transactions, all transactions from the start of your trade account and the current trade balance.
