How it works: School District elected officials make decisions that affect employees, students, parents, tax payers, budget, vendors, contracts, hiring, firing, and much more. In a world of honest politicians, these decisions are made with your best interest in mind. In the real world, the School Board elected officials have their own self interest in mind. Firing employees is based on retaliation, favors, hatred, jealousy, rumors, and votes. Hiring of new employees is based on the same thing. You dont have to be an electrician to be in charge of the electric department. You dont need to be an air conditioning technician to be in charge of the air conditioning department. You dont need to be an engineer to... You get the point. Vendors dont have to offer the best deal for the tax payers in order to get a contract. What does it take for public officials to be leaders? When will we elect regular, honest folks into office so they can truly clean up this mess? Will it always be about who has more money in a campaign? While it has become accepted and common, it is exactly what takes the elections away from the people. That is why we fight back with knowledge and exposure. They cant run for office if theyre in prison...
