How long has it been since I last met you? Do you even still remember me? You were an amazing friend, whether I met you at camp, work or perhaps it was Elementary school? Or some other obscure meeting place? Either way, fate has taken a butcher’s knife and severed the connection that holds my path with yours. I grasp at your memory, the sound of your voice, the touch of your hand, but it’s slipping away. I might as well be holding water or slippery sand. I always hoped and prayed that we would meet again. At least in this lifetime. If not, who knows? I might get to know you in another life. I wish to also meet those that I am close with, but I never spoke with them in person. I would like to hear their voices in person before this lifetime runs its course. Having a friend that I cannot see or trying to find a friend that I lost along the way, it’s hard and I am hoping that something will happen. I feel helpless at times, but I know that if I am patient maybe someday, I will reconnect with old friends and make brand new connections that will never be severed. If that should happen, I will hold those friends in my heart. Until we meet again. I will never forget you. I will always love you. I will see again, someday, somehow.
