How many can say they spent this weekend visiting with family and spending time with their 97 year old Grandmother (98 on March 7th)? There is never enough time for those precious moments! Granny talked about the war, working outside the home as a woman when it wasnt cool (she was told to get home where she belonged and raise her kids...her reply was that they needed food on the table), about how we spent so many days fishing at the pond, her serving up about anything that would sit still long enough... Even road kill, about my Grandpa, about the man who brought the first ringer washers to jasper giving her one because he knew she needed it with four kids (my aunt was still in diapers when she had her twins (one of which is my Dad), plus her oldest son), ect. It was a time filled with special moments, and Im grateful I could get away to go. Thank you for watching the kids, Benjy Crim and Jim Crim-Barbara Crim! :)
