How many girls that graduated from a Davidson County school received a small wooden cedar chest from Morris Furniture Store in Nashville? It was made by Lane. I graduated in 66 and still have mine (although a grandchild dropped it and now it needs wood glue and a clamp). Morris got me in more trouble with my parents. My boyfriend (now hubby) went with me to get it and the store thought we were engaged and called my house, talked to my mother and congratulated her on our engagement (we were 16 at the time). Took a lot of explaining that we were not engaged (at the time).
