How many more before you people realize the political environment in this town is not conducive and welcoming to business owners trying to survive a lagging national recession? Pretty can only go so far. Utility rates too high. Licensing, permits, sewer and water tap fees should be waived to promote growth not deter growth. Sales taxes too high and unfair. Retail business licenses too high, unfair, and based on 1980s retail business environment. Rebating sales taxes to competition causes local hometown businesses to close their doors. Look around. Dominoes falling all around us. I love this town and its people but detest what it has become under this leadership. Its not just about certain people living well. It is about every single person. Every single struggling family. Enough spending and taxing. We gotta have JOBS! Jobs that can buy groceries, pay mortgage and lease payments, buy new shoes, pay for braces and doctor appointments, buy eyeglasses, pay insurance premiums. JOBS.....
