How many of you remember the drills they put us through in School as Children The Fire drill Lining up going outside that was a annual event were the Great Wilson Fire Department would show up horns and sirens blazing clanking Ringing Bells .Firemen in full attire they would handing out plastic Fire Helmets in Bright RED and a Badge and coloring books with crayons .Then also back then the drill of going under our Desks hands folded over our heads to protect from falling debris if we had a nuclear attack back in the 60s as our civil defence plan. Also in the hallways lining against the wall doing the same then we all marched to the auditorium. We all thought of it as Fun .Today we have Lockdown of Schools they drill over a predator entering with a gun threating body harm including life threatening events . Todays children do not look upon what we did as fun. NO this is very very real and scary to our children and this is DEPLORABLE
