How many of you thought that your parents were too hard on you, - TopicsExpress

How many of you thought that your parents were too hard on you, but now that youre older, youre grateful for the work ethic that was instilled in you, and youre grateful that you know how to be self-sufficient? As a female, of course I had to do all of the domestic things, but what I once hated my dad for forcing upon me, Im now grateful that my dad MADE me do the things that are usually non-traditional for girls. I was MADE to go fishing at 3 AM, change flat tires, wash and wax the cars, cut the grass with a push-blade mower, plow a field & plant a garden, shovel snow, jump a car battery, learn basic car parts and their maintenance, paint the house inside and outside, breed AKC registered Dobermans and sell them, drive a stick-shift vehicle, use a soldering gun to construct things from sheet metal, and so much more! Parents, dont produce lazy children who have no work ethic. Girls should be feminine, but they shouldnt be spoiled little princesses who cant do manual labor. Boys shouldnt be lazy punks who cant do manual labor, either! Thanks to my dad, Im a good woman who can take care of herself, but I have a good husband who doesnt let me. :-)
