How many of you truly understand the actual fundamental, technical, artistic, scientific and finesse of the very ancient art of Make - up application. What is the one and only thing a dark color can do ? What is the one thing that light color can do? How do light reflecting and light absorbing colors create changes in human features? When do complimentary colors enhance or neutralize natural colors on the face ? What are some of the limitations that should be applied to people who do not have perfect skin and bone structure in the eye area like the ladies we see in almost every photo of the latest eye looks posted? As any up start Make-up artist or make-up advisor should know is to not pay as much attention to the current cosmetic trends until they have a comprehensive understanding of the art forms basic and fundamental truths and laws. Like in grade school, high school and all advanced education subjects are taught and learned in the order they must be before the subject can ever be truly mastered. Once the basics are truly understood, all trends become easily figured out and executed by the artist. Just a thought.
