How many people are getting friended by fake people in my feed? I got a come on from an account with a picture of a young woman, and, alas, I know what that means. These shell accounts have nothing in them but several shots of the same young women, interspersed with snippets of broken English. Its happened to me a half dozen times now. Everyone knows, right, that scammers do this friending everyones friend thing, building up lists of mutual friends until they get the ball rolling, and then, those identities are somehow useful in various schemes, marketing, phishing, etc. What it boils down to is this, if you just friend everyone who friends you, without checking to see if theyre real, youre pissing in the pool. Its very easy to do. People with 1000s of friends I guess have to do it. But if your friend queue is at all manageable, dont.
